Red Snapper Season 2023
June 1 – August 25 for federal waters in the Gulf of Mexico
Red Snapper is the summer King, with most trips targeting snapper first then other fish unless planned
differently. Red Snapper are great eating and fun to catch. Most trips result in a limit of snapper and
some time left to look for other species of fish to target.
On longer trips we get to be more selective trying to get a limit of larger snapper ant also target
grouper, king mackerel, cobia, vermillion snapper, jacks, and wahoo. The deep water to the south also
hold Tuna, swordfish, tile fish, barrel fish, wahoo, mahi and bill fish. These are typically deep drop or
overnight trips for tuna and mixing in deep drop and snapper/grouper fishing on the way in or out. The
overnight trips are an opportunity to fish and see the water very few people have the opportunity to
fish.
With a fleet of 3 totally different boats we are sure to have the perfect set up for any trip the gulf has to
offer.
