Text is always best as cellular coverage on the island is less than perfect and no service when we pass 6 miles off shore.  When we return the first thing that pops up are text.  Then when we get to the dock we are able to receive and make calls.  Sitting down and checking emails does not happen until we return to the house. checking emails does not happen until we return to the house.
